Start at the top and work your way down by answering the questions. It'll only take a couple of minutes to reach a clear yes/no verdict.

It should be noted that support for Joomla 1.5 may continue longer than April 2012. It may be supported until 3.0, which may be as late as September 2012.

This is actually an excellent infographic, but it's missing the fact that Joomla 2.5 is still immature (it's only a week old or so).

I am running a real estate website, this guide was very useful, i decided to upgrade the site to 2.5, even if my real estate agency could suffer for some downtime problems. Thanks for this guide.

Though joomla 3.0 is released experts say that it is good to stay with joomla 2.5 till 2014. If your website is lower version then you need to upgrade to 2.5
